<p>This role requires the successful candidate to:</p><ul><li>Have good understanding of Permanent Way and Railway infrastructure around it</li><li>Plan, schedule, coordinate and carry out design of track alignment and perform supporting calculations,</li><li>Perform concept, preliminary and detailed design as well as review the design and drawings</li><li>Carry out and manage the design and on-time delivery.</li><li>Help to develop the production of drawings, reports and specifications</li><li>Liaise with clients and other stakeholders to ensure successfully delivery of the tasks/project.</li><li>Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior members of the team,</li><li>Be able to use industry software and tools to drive efficiencies.  </li><li>Provide specialized technical input to studies and design for rail projects</li><li>Develop study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.</li><li>Participate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.</li><li>Perform quality control review of design calculations or drawings.</li><li>Prepare technical specification and reports.</li><li>Provide input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.</li></ul>
