We are seeking a UTILITY (Transmission &amp; Distribution) AND SUBSTATION ESTIMATOR to support our growing New England Utility business located in Lewiston, Maine. This is a hybrid position with work from home and in the office as needed to support collaboration and teamwork in the preparation of proposals and bids. WHAT YOU’LL DO:<ul style="margin-bottom:11px;"><li style="margin-left:8px;">Review and incorporate historical data from past projects, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc. into unit and man-hour figures. </li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Review contracts, proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of the estimate. </li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Prepare estimates by calculating the complete takeoff of the scope of work. </li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Coordinate total estimating effort relevant to a particular bid / project. </li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Review all final estimate packages with operations personnel prior to formal quotation to ensure accuracy and completeness. </li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Participate in bid strategy and presentation meetings as requested. </li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Support Corporate and Regional personnel in preparation of estimates. Provide technical support as necessary. </li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Manage subordinate estimating team members. Build the team as necessary.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Maintain files of working documents as back-up for estimate figures. </li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Assist in developing and supporting the proposal response.  Includes writing work plans, schedule development, and other technical responses. </li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Manage RFP process for necessary suppliers and subcontractors. </li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Interface with owner, A/E, partners, or other contractors to provide engineering and cost data to assist Operations in the final evaluation of bid / proposal. </li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Follow awarded contracts – may include estimating extra work items, change orders, credits, procurement of material etc.</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px;margin-left:8px;">Facilitate contract handoff to PM / Operations.  Includes job cost tracking set-up, development of revenue recognition units, and productivity analysis reporting.</li></ul>                      Assume additional duties and responsibilities as reasonably assigned by management.
