This position owns the day-to-day financial operations work across BoxPower's project portfolio: gathering and validating cost data from, procurement, and construction phases; building and maintaining project models and reporting tools; and leveraging AI-assisted scripting to automate and accelerate repetitive financial workflows. The Project Finance Manager works closely with the Director of Finance, project leadership, and CFO to surface insights from complex cost and schedule data, supporting sound decision-making as BoxPower scales. This role is purpose-built for someone who has worked in the financial trenches of, construction, or capital project environments — someone who understands job costing, cost-to-complete, draw schedules, and change order tracking from firsthand experience, and who brings the AI enabled tools and ERP horsepower to manage it at scale.  Essential Duties &amp; ResponsibilitiesData Collection &amp; Financial Reporting <ul><li>Own the collection, consolidation, and validation of financial data from ERP systems, project management tools, and internal stakeholders </li></ul><ul><li>Build and maintain dashboards, trackers, and reports that provide real-time visibility into project costs, margins, and cash flow </li></ul><ul><li>Prepare weekly and monthly financial reporting packages for the Director of Finance and senior leadership while working alongside the accounting department. </li></ul><ul><li>Reconcile actuals vs. budget across projects and cost centers, identifying and investigating variances </li></ul><ul><li>Facilitate the departmental budget reviews </li></ul> Excel Modeling &amp; Analysis <ul><li>Design and maintain sophisticated Excel financial models for project economics, scenario analysis, and cost forecasting </li></ul><ul><li>Build reusable templates for FP&amp;A workflows including budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and project pro formas </li></ul><ul><li>Automate Excel-based processes using AI based tools available </li></ul><ul><li>Analyze project cost data across the full lifecycle — procurement, construction, and commissioning — to identify cost drivers and opportunities </li></ul> AI-Assisted Workflow &amp; Automation <ul><li>Actively use AI coding tools (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot) that automate data extraction, transformation, and reporting tasks </li></ul><ul><li>Identify manual, repetitive finance workflows and lead the effort to replace them with scripted or AI-assisted processes </li></ul><ul><li>Collaborate with the Director of Finance to deploy and iterate on internal AI tools that increase team output and analytical quality </li></ul><ul><li>Document automated workflows and maintain clear handoff materials for the broader finance team </li></ul> FP&amp;A Support <ul><li>Support the budgeting process through data gathering, model building, and departmental coordination </li></ul><ul><li>Assist with rolling financial forecasts, tracking actuals against plan and flagging risks and opportunities </li></ul><ul><li>Develop and maintain KPI tracking tied to financial and operational performance </li></ul><ul><li>Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic and operational decisions </li></ul> Accounting &amp; ERP Operations <ul><li>Work within the company's ERP system to extract, validate, and report on financial data across projects and cost centers </li></ul><ul><li>Coordinate with accounting on accounts payable, accounts receivable, and job costing to ensure accurate project-level financials </li></ul><ul><li>Support month-end close  </li></ul><ul><li>Assist in maintaining and improving ERP data integrity and financial reporting configurations </li></ul> Project Finance &amp;
