This role bridges scientific innovation and operational execution, ensuring that groundbreaking chemical technologies move efficiently from concept to commercialization.</p><p>You will not only manage the day-to-day execution of chemical R&amp;D and scale-up programs but also contribute to Redwood’s strategic technology planning—helping prioritize investments, identify risks, and align cross-functional resources to accelerate time to market.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Lead technical programs involving chemical process development, validation, and commercialization.</li><li>Partner with R&amp;D, process engineering, and manufacturing teams to define program strategy, scope, and success metrics.</li><li>Provide strategic input into technology development plans, pilot plant investments, and capital budgeting decisions.</li><li>Collaborate with senior technical and business leadership to evaluate feasibility, readiness, and business impact of new chemical technologies.</li><li>Translate complex chemical and materials science concepts into actionable engineering and program deliverables.</li><li>Build and maintain integrated program schedules, risk assessments, and resource forecasts.</li><li>Ensure compliance with chemical safety, environmental standards, and regulatory requirements across all stages of process deployment.</li><li>Help define scale-up strategy including equipment selection, facility needs, and production readiness plans.</li></ul><p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>BS/MS/PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline.</li><li>4+ years of program or project management experience in a chemical or advanced materials environment.</li><li>Experience with strategic technology planning and early-stage process development.</li><li>Strong understanding of process design, scale-up, and the technical-commercial interface.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent programs with cross-functional stakeholders.</li><li>Excellent communication, decision-making, and leadership skills.</li><li>Proficiency with tools like Jira, MS Project, and cloud-based collaboration platforms.</li><li>Passion for sustainability, clean energy, and materials innovation.</li></ul><div><p><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:helvetica , arial , sans-serif;">The position is full-time.
