This position involves diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a fleet of trucks to ensure they remain in optimal working condition. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with a variety of truck models, engines, and systems, with the ability to troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, and address emergency breakdowns efficiently.  Essential Responsibilities: As a Fleet Mechanic, you will be responsible for keeping our fleet of trucks running smoothly and safely. Core duties include: <ul><li>Diagnostic &amp; Repair: Inspect, diagnose, and repair a wide range of truck systems including rear end loaders, roll-offs, tractors, and box trucks, engines, transmissions, electrical systems, brakes, suspensions, and exhaust systems. As well as Diagnose and repair forklifts, skid steers, wheel loaders</li><li>Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on trucks, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks to prevent unexpected breakdowns.</li><li>Emergency Repairs: Respond to emergency breakdowns, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and perform necessary repairs to minimize downtime.</li><li>System Monitoring &amp; Troubleshooting: Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues and troubleshoot problems with engines, electrical systems, and other truck components.</li><li>Parts &amp; Inventory Management: Order and manage parts inventory for repairs and maintenance. Ensure proper documentation of parts usage and stock levels.</li><li>Documentation &amp; Reporting: Maintain accurate repair and maintenance records for all vehicles. Ensure compliance with safety inspections and regulations and complete truck overhauls- retired unit rebuilds</li><li>Collaboration: Work closely with the Fleet Manager and other team members to ensure all trucks are safe, roadworthy, and meet company standards.</li><li>Safety &amp; Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, follow proper repair procedures, and ensure all vehicles are compliant with DOT and company safety standards.</li><li>Perform fabrication and welding</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Required Experience: 5-10 years of experience as a truck mechanic or similar role, with expertise in diagnosing and repairing truck systems and components. Must have experience in Mack and Kenworth trucks. Must be experienced in engines, transmissions, and electrical systems (PLC)</li><li>Required Skills: <ul> <li>Strong knowledge of truck engines, transmission systems, electrical systems, and diagnostics.</li> <li>Experience using diagnostic equipment and tools.</li> <li>Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues independently and efficiently.</li> <li>Welding</li> </ul></li><li>Preferred Qualifications: <ul> <li>CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) preferred, but not required.</li> <li>Welding or fabrication experience is a plus.</li> </ul></li><li>Physical Requirements: <ul> <li>Ability to lift heavy parts (up to 50 lbs) and work in tight spaces.</li> <li>Ability to stand, bend, and work for extended periods.</li> </ul></li><li>Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, work overtime as required, including weekends or after-hours if needed for emergency repairs.</li><li>Safety Mindset: Strong commitment to safety protocols and adherence to DOT regulations.</li></ul>Benefits: Eligible employees can elect to participate in:<ul><li>Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage</li><li>Short- and long-term disability</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>401(k) plan with a generous company match</li></ul><div>Salary Description</div><div>$33.00-$45.00/hour</div>
