This position involves diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a fleet of trucks to ensure they remain in optimal working condition. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with a variety of truck models, engines, and systems, with the ability to troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, and address emergency breakdowns efficiently.  Essential Responsibilities: As a Fleet Mechanic, you will be responsible for keeping our fleet of trucks running smoothly and safely. Core duties include: <ul><li>Diagnostic &amp; Repair: Inspect, diagnose, and repair a wide range of truck systems including rear end loaders, roll-offs, tractors, and box trucks, engines, transmissions, electrical systems, brakes, suspensions, and exhaust systems. As well as Diagnose and repair forklifts, skid steers, wheel loaders</li><li>Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on trucks, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks to prevent unexpected breakdowns.</li><li>Emergency Repairs: Respond to emergency breakdowns, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and perform necessary repairs to minimize downtime.</li><li>System Monitoring &amp; Troubleshooting: Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues and troubleshoot problems with engines, electrical systems, and other truck components.</li><li>Parts &amp; Inventory Management: Order and manage parts inventory for repairs and maintenance. Ensure proper documentation of parts usage and stock levels.</li><li>Documentation &amp; Reporting: Maintain accurate repair and maintenance records for all vehicles. Ensure compliance with safety inspections and regulations and complete truck overhauls- retired unit rebuilds</li><li>Collaboration: Work closely with the Fleet Manager and other team members to ensure all trucks are safe, roadworthy, and meet company standards.</li><li>Safety &amp; Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, follow proper repair procedures, and ensure all vehicles are compliant with DOT and company safety standards.</li><li>Perform fabrication and welding</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Required Experience: 5 years of experience as a truck mechanic or similar role, with expertise in diagnosing and repairing truck systems and components. Preferred experience in Mack trucks.
