Role Overview:

We are recruiting high calibre candidates who will support the brokers and trading desks in Operations environment, covering cross-products in Foreign Exchange, Money Markets, Rates, Credit and Equity Derivatives. He/she will support in the role as Operations in APAC markets and Trade Management on Matched Principal, Exchange Traded, and Name Give Ups activities in Singapore.

The candidate will work closely with the Front Office, get prepared to discuss initiatives to aid the Front Office in trade booking and brokerage calculation, and support the business during Trades Lifecycle, i.e. before, during and after trade execution.  To provide Operations feedback and perspective with Risk & Control mindset while facilitating the Business and Front Office from initial booking through the front & middle office systems to confirmations.

The role and responsibility include Client Services, Operations Excellence and Quality Assurance: ensures all trades are accurately booked and matched in-time according to strict settlement timelines and/or client’s expectation; ensures all trade confirmations are accurate and send to clients within the agreed SLA; ensures all enquiry are properly handled and promptly follow up; ensures tasks completeness and procedures/ SOP are up-to-date.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring that all trades arrive from the various front end trade capture systems, and are processed into such in a timely manner
  • Ensure that all trades are delivered to the client, via a 3rd Party electronic mechanism (e.g. Markitwire, Reuters), where applicable.
  • Ensure that all confirmations are delivered to the client, via either Fax, or E-Mail (or alternative route, such as ACS).
  • Resolve any queries in relation to non-delivery of electronic confirmations, liaising with either the 3rd Party Vendor and/or the Ops Services team, to ensure delivery by amending the trade after any changes / permission being granted.
  • Ensure timely and accurate entry of trades into various clearing venues, as appropriate.
  • Oversight of clearing and reporting processes relating to errors or defaults.
  • Liaise with brokers and/or customers in relation to non-delivery of fax, email and ACS confirmations.
  • Ensure that any incoming confirmations from a 3rd party broker, or an overseas branch, match the details that we have booked in our system
  • Monitor matching tools, ensuring that trades with overseas offices match in a timely manner and are delivered to Markitwire or Reuters
  • Monitor all electronic confirmation processes, via GenList, to ensure that clients are interacting with the trades, in a timely manner.
  • With reference to the above point, and in relation to SEF executed trades, ensure that all trades are cleared in a timely manner, escalating as appropriate, in accordance with the procedures defined.
  • Provide daily, weekly and monthly reports where required to Commercial and Operational management

Experience / Competences:

Essential

  • Have good underlying knowledge of multiple asset classes, including Rates, FX Forwards and Money market.
  • Skilled in Microsoft applications software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc)
  • Have experience managing trade flow, ideally from a financial services background, and be able to show evidence as to products knowledge, and the ability to communicate effectively with the front office.
  • Resolve queries in relation to non-delivery of electronic confirmations, liaising with either the 3rd Party Vendor and/or the Ops Services team, to ensure delivery, amending the trade, as necessary, subsequent to any changes / permission being granted.
  • Overview of external systems/platforms, such as RTNS & Markitwire.
  • Contact MarkitWire/Reuters, where appropriate, to resolve any trades that cannot be delivered the due to permission/data issues.
  • Handles trade queries from institutional customers and front office.

Desired

  • VBA Macro or Python
  • Some experiences in projects, system migration or UAT
  • Continuous improvement mindset in both BAU processes and personal objectives
