The goal of our innovation is to make it easier for a much wider range of users to own and operate an electric vehicle. RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our team as a Subassembly Assembler. In this role, you will assemble, test, and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical subassemblies to precise specifications. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will follow established work instructions. Key duties include preparing assembly work, maintaining inventory, testing assembled units for function and maintaining an organized work environment. Candidates should possess strong manual dexterity, a basic understanding of hand tools and measurement instruments.
DUTIES:
- Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, and parts lists; gathering parts, sub-assemblies, tools and materials
- Assembles and tests complex electrical and mechanical components to exacting standards following process and specifications are met
- Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies
- Promote team-oriented, cross-functional communication and drive issue escalation relating to process, equipment, material, and quality
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with process and 5S standards
- Utilize and maintain personal PPE and safety equipment and follow all established safety processes and procedures
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- HS or greater; some college or tech school (certifications), preferred
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs and stand for long periods of time
- Proficient in assembly and manufacturing processes, ensuring efficient production and high-quality output.
- Skilled in electrical tasks, including wiring, soldering, and wire harness assembly.
- Experienced in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical diagrams to ensure accurate assembly and manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance processes and ability to perform inspections and testing to meet industry standards.
- Knowledge of 5S principles to maintain organized, safe, and efficient workspaces.
- Adherence to safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure a safe working environment.
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, contributing to effective group dynamics and project completion.
- Proficient with tools, work instructions, and inventory management to support the assembly and manufacturing process.
- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS) to ensure compliance and documentation accuracy.
- Experienced in handling and assembling components, including PCBs, fasteners, and subassemblies.
- Basic automotive knowledge and understanding of industry standards and components related to automotive manufacturing
- AutoCad and/or Solidworks experience.
- Laser welding and/or high voltage operation experience.
