Shipping Clerk
Manage the shipping and distribution of products, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulations. Coordinate shipments, prepare documentation, track inventory, and liaise with carriers to meet deadlines and maintain customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Shipping Management: Schedule, route, and track shipments to ensure timely delivery.
Documentation & Compliance: Handle shipping documents and ensure regulatory compliance.
Inventory Coordination: Work with warehouse staff to pick, pack, and label products accurately.
Carrier & Vendor Liaison: Communicate with carriers and negotiate rates.
Problem Resolution: Address shipment issues, delays, and discrepancies.
Reporting & Analysis: Monitor shipping performance and identify process improvements.
Customer Service: Provide tracking updates and resolve delivery inquiries.
Process Improvement: Optimize shipping procedures for efficiency and cost savings.
Your Profile / Qualifications
The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $20 - $22 per hour. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.
The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. You may be eligible for additional rewards, such as discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards.
Education and Skills:
High School Diploma OR GED required
Experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain with knowledge of regulations.
Proficiency in shipping software, WMS/SAP, and Microsoft Office.
Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Problem-solving skills to resolve shipping issues efficiently.
Attention to detail in documentation and processes.
Familiarity with shipping regulations, carrier rates, and best practices.
