Job Description:
Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Manuals & Training Expert who thrives in a rapidly changing environment. The successful candidate will be the person able to manage and to produce customers’ operation and maintenance documentation, arranging the training courses, ensuring the proper interface management between the Design and Build team and the O&M team. The position is based in Pistoia, IT

Accountabilities:
- To manage and to produce customers’ operation and maintenance documentation for specific project;
- Ensure on time provision of O&M deliverables and milestone in accordance with project schedule and budget;
- Ensure preparation and delivery of Operation & Maintenance Manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalog and Training Program Plan;
- Ensure the preparation of Technical specifications for subcontractor’s manuals and training course;
- Develop an understanding of how our customers use the manuals and identify helpful content needs. Review and implement customer feedback.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, including new editor software, and coordinating the implementation and communication of these changes.
- Ensure the review of operation and maintenance manuals delivered by the subcontractors;
- Participate to projects, bidding and delivery phases within project schedule.
Required Skills/ Knowledge:
- Pioneering Spirt
- Integrity
- Two to five years’ experience as a Manuals & Training Expert
- Minimum 3 years’ railway system engineering experience and knowledge of the integrated systems that comprise a metro system;
- Ability to develop a working knowledge of technical products, processes, applications.
- Ability to learn new technical skills quickly
- knowledge and experience in application of the railway Technical-Logistic support documentation, associated with any technical system, either rolling stock and/or a rail vehicle
- International experience and ability to manage internationals projects
- Knowledge and ability to review maintenance documentation from sub-suppliers;
- techniques and ways to handle the relationship with a supplier in an integrated supply chain approach;
- Excellent communication skills
- Person on which is easy to work with
- Negotiation Skills
- Leadership Skills
- Experience in modern Lean and Agile Organization
Desired Skills/ Knowledge:
- Operation and Maintenance Processes
- RAMS and Maintenance Plan process
- Planning and organization
- Experience in editing software programs
Education / Qualifications:
Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical Engineering
Languages
Fluent Knowledge of English (written & spoken).
