About the Job

Group Intercompany Controller

Permanent

Glasgow

At Aggreko, we provide energy solutions so businesses can grow, and communities can thrive.

Mines, data centers, sporting events, manufacturing sites – even whole cities – need electricity around the clock. Reliable supplies of energy have never been more critical. That’s why we make sure our customers have power, heating, and air conditioning when, where and for however long they need it.

The purpose of the role:

We are seeking an experienced Finance professional to join our global organisation in the role of Group Intercompany Controller responsible for ensuring the consistent, compliant and efficient operation of the intercompany process across our international subsidiaries.

The ideal candidate for the Intercompany Controller position will be a seasoned accounting professional with a proven track record in managing intercompany processes within a global organisation. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of accounting principles and international tax regulations, coupled with the ability to develop and implement robust intercompany policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and operate governance processes to identify non-compliance with Group intercompany policies and procedures, drive subsequent compliance and act as a key escalation point for intercompany activities across the business.
  • Analyse, manage and resolve intercompany mismatches, disputes and aged settlement positions, working collaboratively with stakeholders to identify and address any issues; arbitrate and determine a final resolution as required.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency of intercompany processes, collaborating with the Global Process Owner (GPO) RTR to implement process improvements.
  • Manage Head Office intercompany processes and coordinate the centralisation of specific intercompany activities.
  • Execute the operational aspects of the group transfer pricing policy in accordance with relevant tax regulations in collaboration with the Group Tax function.
  • Provide training, guidance, and ongoing support to newly acquired organizations to ensure effective integration of intercompany processes.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience within a Financial Controllership or Compliance role.
  • Strong understanding of all operational financial processes, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and compliance.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience operating within an ERP environment, Financial Consolidation systems, Balance Sheet reconciliation systems and PowerBI.
  • Proven ability to drive compliance with Finance processes and effectively operate governance frameworks to demonstrate same.
  • Ability to work in culturally diverse teams and reconcile cultural differences to successfully deliver services.
