About the Job
Responsibilities:
- Market Analysis & Insights:
- Analyze point-of-sale and inventory data to identify trends and opportunities for growth. Track and report market trends, competitive activity, and category innovation using SPINS & retailer portals.
- Conduct regular “Retail Safaris” (both in-store and online) to report on category trends, competitive messaging, and execution challenges.
- Support in building customer presentations, as needed
- Sales Support & Execution:
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key retail performance metrics (e.g., ACV, velocity, pricing).
- Create post-promotion analysis templates and monthly recaps, including competitive benchmarking.
- Support new item launches by ensuring accurate retailer setup and tracking performance.
- Own retailer portal management, including item setup, inventory and forecasting reviews, and administrative updates.
- Maintain internal planners with Retailer launches, promotions, price lists, etc
- Forecasting & Trade Management:
- Assist the Sales Director & VP in monthly/annual sales forecasting and budget planning.
- Track actual vs. planned revenue and spending, analyzing the impact of sales trends on future orders.
- Collaborate with Operations and Finance to optimize inventory planning and trade spend efficiency.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with eCommerce, marketing, and creative teams to manage and optimize .com product pages.
- Support in building customer presentations and internal briefs for brand and creative requests.
- Assist with customer contracts, cost changes, deduction and reclaim management, and other administrative needs.
- Help coordinate special projects, including product samples, office supplies, and retail demos
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of analytical experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.
- Advanced proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Looker (or similar BI tools) is a plus.
- Familiarity with Kroger, Meijer, UNFI, Whole Foods, Target, and Costco preferred.
- Strong track record of leveraging data to build compelling business cases.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring data accuracy.
- Ability to travel 1-4X per year, for customer & Blueland team meetings, demos, etc
