  • Responsible for ensuring timely and accurate application of incoming payments to customer accounts.
  • This role involves managing payment discrepancies, supporting cash reconciliation processes, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • The position is integral to maintaining up-to-date accounts receivable records and ensuring compliance with financial policies.
  • Follow established policies, procedures, and management guidance.
  • Manage the daily cash applications activities ensuring timeliness and meeting all required SLA.
  • Work closely with the team, team lead/manager and relevant offshore and onshore teams within O2C Tower in reaching goals and accomplishing the team vision.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Accurately post and allocate customer payments (checks, ACH, wire transfers, etc.) to appropriate accounts in ERP systems.
  • Process unapplied and unidentified payments, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Reconcile daily cash receipts with bank statements.
  • Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies such as short payments, overpayments, or deductions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., PA, billing) and customers to address payment issues.
  • Document and escalate unresolved discrepancies as needed.
  • Assist in month-end close activities, including cash reconciliation and reporting.
  • Generate and analyze accounts receivable reports to identify trends or irregularities.
  • Support audits by providing relevant payment and cash application records.
  • Identify opportunities to improve cash application processes and contribute to the implementation of best practices.
  • Work with IT and finance teams to optimize system functionalities for cash application.
  • Act as a point of contact for customer payment inquiries and related issues.
  • Coordinate with treasury and bank teams for payment-related clarifications
