For our offices in Alcobendas, we are currently looking for a Regional Category Manager Logistics, Warehouse, Packaging Services WEMEA.
The main responsibilities are:
- Leads, creates and implements the procurement strategy for regionalized Logistics & Warehousing sub-categories (road freight, packaging, and warehousing) in the WEMEA Region.
- Supports regional implementation of the procurement strategy for global Logistics & Warehousing sub-categories (airfreight, sea freight, and courier) in the WEMEA Region.
- Identify and realize cost saving potential, set and control saving targets for the relevant categories.
- Leads negotiations, ensure contract management, drive procurement activities as regional category manager.
- Continuously optimize procurement processes and related key figures.
- Ability to manage & support process changes which bring financial and operational impacts to GEA.
- Understanding of tendering processes and negotiations with transportation and warehousing providers.
- Understanding of logistics rate card structures and cost components.
- Able to identify savings opportunities during operational day-to-day activities
Your Profile / Qualifications
- Master or Bachelor Degree – Business related field
- At least 5 years of strategic procurement experience required.
- Negotiation experience required.
- Experience in working with cross-functional and international teams required.
- Spanish & English (fluent)
- Italian (optional)
- Very good analytical (data) capabilities, problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically.
- Takes ownership of the work, successes and mistakes
- Very good communication skills
- Strong change management skills
