We have an excellent opportunity for a relationship centric, and commercially minded procurement professional. This is a newly created position, and it will suit someone that is motivated by the opportunity to set up new processes and procedures within projects procurement space.  

In this role you will be part of the projects team and create relationships and lasting commercial agreements with our supply chain and partners on behalf of the Tomra Food project team to ensure our project objectives of time, cost quality and customer satisfaction are balanced.

Key responsibilities: 

  • Take full responsibility of purchasing quality products for production in time by using the most efficient practice and cost efficiency
  • Assist with the evaluation and development of local and overseas suppliers ensuring alignment with the Procurement Strategy
  • Involvement in RFI/P/Q processes
  • Strengthen and evaluate supplier relationships: build closer relationships with suppliers to enhance beneficial outcomes in cost, on –time delivery, quality, lead-times and other critical areas
  • ERP Integrity: work with the Procurement team to ensure ERP IFS is updated with the correct data
  • Support other team members and function teams to achieve the teams common goal
  • Liaise with suppliers to manage the delivery process for 3rd party orders
  • Support quality system by investigating non-conformance issues related to suppliers
  • Support Accounts Department to ensure on time reconciliation of suppliers’ invoices 
  • Review circumstances, prioritize and adjust shipments and delivery to meet customer requests and project timelines
  • Monitor the key performance indicators (KPIs) of service providers and keep standard operating procedures (SOP) up to date
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with supply chain disruptions, including geopolitical, environmental, and economic factors
  • Cost Analysis: Conduct regular cost analysis and market research to ensure competitive pricing and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Implement and promote sustainable procurement practices to support the company's environmental goals
  • Promote a “Safety First” culture throughout the company, our customers, and our industry
