About the Job

Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Research and evaluate potential suppliers and drive commercial cost negotiations with suppliers to ensure the company receives best possible pricing, leverage cost models and favorable contract terms.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to ensure effective communication, resolve issues promptly, and leverage opportunities for cost savings, and cost efficiency improvements. Act as the primary interface with the vendors on delivery status, issues and resolution. Escalate to commercial or technical team when required (procurement, logistics, warehouse, engineering, finance, etc.).
  • Maintain system accuracy, including lead-time, pricing, current supplier information, current purchase order data, etc.
  • Assists other departments with problem resolution involving discrepancies between purchase order, delivered quantity, invoice prices, quality and delivery commitment.
  • Collaborate closely with internal departments, executive leaders, and department heads to understand sourcing needs, specifications, and requirements to provide strategic advice on improving efficiencies and productivity in procurement.
  • Reviews requests for assigned materials, parts and/or services and verifies specifications with requester as necessary.
  • Source and negotiate favorable terms and conditions with vendors, ensuring competitive pricing, quality, timely delivery of purchased item based on target deliveries/commitment.
  • Ensure timely follow-up on deliveries and expedite past-due or outstanding orders with close collaboration with Logistics and Warehouse on the shipping.
  • Identifies cost savings opportunities and assists in achieving yearly cost reduction targets set by the Supply Chain Head and the Management.
  • Working with Supply Chain Head in analyzing market trends, identifying potential service providers and examining various methods and procedures of importation.
  • Handle purchase orders based on specific procurement needs, ensuring adherence to overall BOM cost targets and delivery commitments.
  • Monitor current market conditions and technology roadmaps to proactively identify and address any supply challenges and to determine future business opportunities.
  • Make daily, weekly, monthly monitoring such as purchase volume, purchases status and cost savings reports, etc.
  • Work cross-functionality within the PSC Department that includes Warehouse and Logistics, and other support functions such as Engineering, Sales, Finance, etc.
  • Other tasks assigned by Line Manager

Your Profile / Qualifications

  • Degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Logistics and Supply Chain or related field, or having relevant experience in procurement or category management.
  • Experience of min. 5 working years as sourcing and procurement role, logistics or a relevant role.
  • Review & set up procurement process
  • Srong knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors). Negotiation skill
  • Prior exposure to category management, procurement or an engineering or operational environment is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of customs regulations and INCOTERMS
  • Experience in construction materials procurement is an advantage
  • Experience working in a cross-functional, team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Good computer skills - Microsoft Office applications, SAP/Axapta systems
  • Good working level of English & Vietnamese - speaking and writing
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with others.
  • Ability to maintain good positive relationship with services providers as well as with colleagues.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in rate agreements.
  • Have a good service consciousness and be able to provide internal-external customers with optimal procurement solutions independently
  • Robust analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • High level of business ethics and intergrity
