General Responsibilities:

Plans and manages activities for multiple projects to ensure goals or objectives are accomplished within a prescribed time frame by performing any combination of all essential duties and responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities:

This position will be part of the xEV Regional PE group for Electric Vehicle products and will be responsible for all activity and support for Motor programs in the AM region. Candidate will lead allocated resources to successfully achieve the assigned goals and advise on new methods within the area of responsibility.  Responsible for activities to establish equipment, processes, and quotations for programs related to Motor products. This position is specifically for the development and implementation of cost-effective motor manufacturing equipment and processes.  Also, this role will identify synergy potentials across programs, best practices to drive cost effective solutions.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):

  • 4year University Degree in Related Engineering Field
  • Engineering skills including knowledge of control systems, robotics, mechanics, pneumatics, optical inspection and computer programming.
  • A demonstrable leadership and organizational excellence record including multiple departmental management experience.
  • Ability to delegate and follow up on multiple functions and deadlines utilizing PDCA.
  • Ability to make quick, accurate, data driven decisions and utilize excellent problem solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literacy with both personal computers and manufacturing systems.
  • Ability to develop and mentor all levels of associates.
  • Willingness to support the corporate culture with an absolute focus on ethics and fairness

Preferred Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):

  • Work experience within automotive industry, with emphasis in electro/mechanical devices
  • Knowledge of EV components such as inverters and motors
  • Knowledge of Quality/Business systems such as IATF16949, PPAP, NPI (New Product Introduction), APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, etc.
  • Well organized, attention to detail and able to handle multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills to prepare and present information to all levels of associates, management and customers both verbally and written
  • Ability to lead projects obtaining the support of multiple departments and organizations

Additionally, the ability to work independently with minimal direction is required as are strong verbal and written communication skills.  Experience with PCs and application software, such as MS Office tools is also required.

Education:       4year University Degree in Mechanical, manufacturing, or related technical field.

Experience:     Minimum of 10 years applicable experience

Job level determined by various factors such as organization size, responsibility, career stage, and capabilities.

Supervisory Responsibilities:  Manage and lead xEV BU Motor PE group.

Working conditions:

Physical Demands:  Required to sit or stand for long periods of time. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Travel: Domestic and international may be required as needed.
