About the Job
We are looking for an experienced Talent and Development Manager to devise our organizational training strategy, oversee its implementation and assess its outcomes. You will identify training and developmental needs and drive suitable training initiatives that build loyalty to the firm.
Training Managers work across many departments to get employees up to speed in both their specific vertical, and the overall needs of the company. Training Managers often have backgrounds in business, leadership, human resources, development, and education.
Training Manager responsibilities include enhancing employees’ skills, performance, productivity, and quality of work.
Requirements
- Provide expertise in the formulation and implementation of the organization’s talent development strategy
- Lead project planning, scheduling, timeline, and budgets for professional development programs and initiatives
- Ensure that organization-wide talent management initiatives are focused and aligned on improving operational and program efficiencies and effectiveness.
- Use data and key performance indicators to develop criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training programs
- Implement best practices in performance reviews, 360 reviews, stay interviews, and setting new hire objectives
- Assist in the administration of Performance Improvement Plans as needed
- Routinely present on new talent and development strategies
- Train and coach managers and others involved in employee development efforts
- Oversee and disseminate required trainings to all employees including required HR and Security trainings, Personnel Manager trainings, etc.
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- BS degree in education, human resources or relevant experience and training
- 4 years of broad HR experience including talent management and organizational development.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and professional training vendors
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent interpersonal, counseling, and negotiation skills
- Ability to design and implement professional development programs in a rapidly growing engineering organization
- Track record in designing and executing successful training programs
- Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations etc.)
- Ability to travel up to 15%
