Luna – which became a part of Landis+Gyr effective by 2022 - is the leading provider of smart metering devices for electricity, water and heat and associated software solutions for Turkey with headquarter located in Cigli - Izmir. We are seeking Design and Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer to join our quality team.
What are the requirements that we expect from a successful talent:
As a Design and Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for quality assurance activities throughout projects and for ensuring supplier quality. This role supports the delivery of high-quality products, systems, or solutions at every stage of the project while ensuring adherence to the company’s Integrated Management System (IMS) and defined quality processes.
Responsibilities:
- Support projects by applying quality management methods, techniques, and tools to ensure high-quality outcomes
- Ensure compliance with the Integrated Management System (IMS) and process house
- Act as a partner to Project Managers and project teams to ensure quality performance and transparent reporting
- Prepare and follow up on project quality plans and conduct P-Gate reviews
- Collaborate with Project Managers to effectively deliver the PPAP (Production Part Approval Process)
- Facilitate risk identification and mitigation through System, Design, and Process FMEAs
- Ensure a complete test strategy is developed and tests are reviewed in line with product requirements
- Provide guidance on technical, legal, and regulatory compliance matters
- Audit quality-related documentation at each P-Gate phase and approve or reject accordingly
- Share lessons learned and best practices across project teams and stakeholders
- Lead problem-solving activities, corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs), and continuous improvement projects
- Report and escalate project quality issues to the appropriate management level
- Promote the development, qualification, and management of suppliers to meet performance KPIs
- Ensure defect-free and on-time material supply to L+G manufacturing facilities
- Plan and manage Green Belt level quality improvement activities
- Document data obtained during quality assurance activities in line with company policies and procedures
- Apply quality standards and procedures to processes involving partially finished or finished goods at subcontractors
- Maintain, present, and act on subcontractor quality metrics
Qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering or a related field
- Experience in quality assurance and/or supplier quality, preferably in automotive, electronics, or manufacturing sectors
- Knowledge of quality systems such as ISO 9001, PPAP, APQP, FMEA
- Proficiency in English
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented approach
