What will you do
Due to an internal promotion, we have a rare opportunity for an experienced, proactive Territory Sales Manager to join our established, and successful Civil and Infrastructure Direct QLD sales team. In this busy role, you will collaborate and use your stakeholder management skills across all functions of Vinidex, to deliver results and grow our Civil Infrastructure Direct business segment.
Based in Coopers Plains, you will look after South East QLD to Rockhampton and are 360 degrees sales roles, with both account management and business development, where you will partner with the project team on tender presentations to showcase our values and benefit and build a solid sales pipeline.
Comply with all occupational health and safety laws, industry codes and practices to provide a safe workplace.
Work closely with the Northern Region Segment Manager - Infrastructure & Civil to manage and maintain the trading relationship and outputs of the key Civil & Infrastructure customers within the region.
Ensure accurate and relevant market feedback on customers, products, competitors and trends, proactively analyses trends and develop appropriate responses.
Work closely with the key internal Vinidex teams including Administration, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Project Administration, Planning and Marketing to ensure an acceptable level of key customer service.
Provide technical support in field for the Civil & Infrastructure product portfolio.
Ensure price file management for the infrastructure segment in Qld is fully updated and reflects agreed pricing criteria.
As required provide accurate support to the Planning and supply chain to ensure accurate forecasting of project activity, seasonal, promotional demands.
Attend project review meetings and work closely with the designated Civil Project coordinators to ensure key KPIs on all Projects in the region are delivered in full, in spec and on time.
As required, provide support to the wider State, Region & National Management team on securing major projects and tenders.
About you
Ideally you will have 3- 5 years Territory Manager Sales experience, managing a designated area in QLD within the Civil Infrastructure/Mining/ Water segments. (advantageous).
Have a solid customer base and in-depth knowledge of the Civil and Infrastructure market segment.
Demonstrated experience selling into a direct trading business environment where you have grown and increasing your customer base.
Strong technical focus with the ability to read and understand civil drawings and experienced dealing with customer resolutions with exceptional problem-solving skills to resolve challenges.
Strong financial and commercial acumen, comfortable leading pricing discussions with the ability to make the right commercial decisions, and to translate opportunities into actions to drive results.
Computer literate with solid Microsoft Office and presentation skills, and proficient using ERP/CRM systems (SAP and Salesforce preferred).
Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written, with the ability to build meaningful relationships with key internal stakeholders across the business, customers and industrial alliances, to influence and negotiate to get the best outcome.
Able to work on your own and are a team player with a collaborative style who is positive, resilient, and is a strategic thinker with the ability to think outside the box to deliver results and drive new business opportunities.
Excellent time management and coordination skills with a sense of urgency, with high attention to detail and a analytical mindset.
You are safety focused, have a can-do attitude, are flexible, quickly adapt to new challenges and support change.
Must be prepared to travel (20%) of the time as is a requirement of this role.
