About the Job
Key Responsibilities
Draft & Review: Prepare, review, and revise contracts (e.g., service agreements, purchase orders, subcontracts) to ensure clarity, enforceability, and alignment with company policies.
Negotiation: Lead negotiations with clients, vendors, and partners to achieve favorable terms—scope, pricing, deliverables, timelines, and liabilities.
Compliance & Risk Management: Monitor contract performance, track key milestones, flag deliverable delays, and ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal requirements.
Amendments & Renewals: Manage contract amendments, extensions, and renewals; coordinate internal approvals and document revisions.
Dispute Resolution: Act as the primary point of contact for contract disputes or claims, coordinating with legal counsel and stakeholders to resolve issues swiftly.
Reporting & Analysis: Maintain a central contract repository, generate status reports, and provide insights on contract risks, obligations, and financial impacts.
Process Improvement: Develop and implement standard contract templates, workflows, and best practices to streamline contract management processes.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree or legal qualification a plus.
20+ years of experience in contract management—preferably within [industry, e.g., construction, IT, manufacturing].
Strong knowledge of contract law, commercial terms, and industry‑specific regulations.
Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
Proficiency with contract management software and MS Office suite.
Detail‑oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
