Utility Consumption Specialist 

Budderfly, Inc. (Budderfly - www.budderfly.com) is seeking an experienced professional who will join an experienced team of utility consumption experts tasked with analyzing the cyclical usage trends across our customer base. This employee will work to establish the billing baseline model for each customer onboarded to the Budderfly program using our unique Average Monthly Usage model.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Gather and analyze historical customer utility data to identify patterns and trends that can be used to predict future spending
  • Develop a billing model that accurately estimates future customer spend based on historical data, incorporating statistical methods and predictive analytics
  • Implement the billing model and conduct thorough testing to ensure its accuracy and reliability
  • Assist with and/or make necessary adjustments to billing models on an as needed basis to adjust for customer changes or data anomalies
  • Work closely with the development and finance teams to continually improve upon the billing model and enhance automation using the most recent AI technology available
  • Maintain detailed documentation outlining the methodology surrounding the billing model
  • Communicate with rates team to ensure correct tariff rates are being applied and updated regularly

  • Exceptional time and project management skills
  • Proficiency in cross-functional collaboration across business teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or related industry experience.
  • Prior experience in utility billing preferred.
  • Good customer service skills and the ability to work well with others are a must. 
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Ability to be flexible as we grow and change.

Salary Range: $63-68,000 per year

Hourly Pay Range: $30.29 - $32.69 hourly,  based on factors including level of experience, skill set, qualifications, and location. 

Location: Shelton, CT Hybrid 

Compensation
