We are currently seeking a full-time Energy Efficiency Associate specializing in Building Electrification to join our Energy Efficiency Programs Department. This role will be primarily focused on supporting implementation for the Technology and Equipment for Clean Heating (TECH) initiative, a multi-year, statewide market transformation program focused on residential building electrification in California. Desired experience includes policy, codes and standards, implementation and market transformation as related to building electrification efforts in California or other states. Candidates should also have familiarity with key policies and decision makers influencing the building electrification landscape, as well as the high-level strategies to achieving California’s building electrification goals. The person filling this role will be required to work in a hybrid work environment adjacent to one of our offices (Oakland, CA; Orange, CA; Portland, OR) and expected to be in the office a minimum of once a week (preferably Wednesdays) 


Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to: 

  • Assisting with program implementation and design
  • Technology research and literature searches, including energy savings calculation
  • Facilitating and monitoring the progress of projects and communicating progress to internal stakeholders
  • Organizing and facilitating meetings and conference calls with internal stakeholders and/or clients
  • Coordinating implementation activities between internal technical teams and consulting stakeholders
  • Configuring program changes on our proprietary software platforms
  • Working with internal clients to debug, reproduce, document, and fix support problems for production web application systems
  • Creating visualizations and dashboards using BI tools (e.g. Tableau)

 
Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree or
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience with no degree
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct detailed technical and quantitative analysis, knowledge of data science and/or experience with information systems management
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Flexibility and adaptability in regard to project focus
  • Ability to work and thrive independently and juggle multiple competing priorities
  • Proactive and collaborative problem-solving approach
  • Excellent personal accountability
  • A 5-minute PowerPoint presentation will be required during the interview process

 

Compensation is commensurate with experience within the pay band of $60,000 - $70,000 / Annually

Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a generous retirement package. Energy Solutions provides an excellent benefits package including medical, dental and vision insurance, other pre-tax contribution plans and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).

Office Locations and a Remote Workforce

Energy Solutions operates as a predominantly remote workforce with offices in  six different locations. Employees who reside within 40 miles of an office (except New York) will be assigned to that location, though in-office attendance requirements may vary by team.
