Greenhouse Operations Supervisor (morning shift)

You Will

• Oversee daily operations from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, managing a team of hard-working folks to ensure we meet our production targets on time and with high quality
• Create, maintain and update SOPs to ensure best practices are followed across the organization ensuring that operations meet high food safety, worker safety, and quality standards
• Recruit, hire, and train a growing team of operators
• Spearhead efforts to increase greenhouse efficiency by managing and improving best practices for labor management, workflows, productivity tracking, and associated tools.
• Inform the design of our robot-assisted operations and machine learning systems in close partnership with engineering teams.

You Have

• Strong communication skills in both English and Spanish
• Strong people management skills, with proven experience in leading a team (preferably in a farm, warehouse, or restaurant environment)
• Experience in optimizing the efficiency of workflows, designing SOPs, and training staff. Some experience with food safety is a plus!
• Ability and desire to work effectively in a cross-functional team, collaborate with scientists and engineers, and set an example of operational excellence for the team
• Comfort with using technology, working on a computer, and learning/teaching others to use new digital tools
• Comfort with basic tools and machinery, and eagerness to learn how to repair and maintain more complex machines
• A team-oriented mindset, no job is too big or too small

Salary

• $65,000 - $85,000 per year
