Service Engineer

Your main responsibilities are:

• Perform field service/commissioning assignments as required for Propulsion, seal & bearing products.
• Prepare Field Service/commissioning reports as needed
• Take notes during Service/commissioning jobs as needed to aid in report preparation
• Use and maintain tools in accordance with good work practices
• Maintain current individual time sheets and expense records to support the timely invoicing of jobs to customers
• To maintain a professional appearance and conduct
• To maintain the quality & efficiency of mechanical work performed (as measured by warranty costs), and in accordance with manufacturers specifications & ISO procedures
• Accurate and timely care of Wartsila specialty tools (field & shop) used to perform service work
• Ensure customer satisfaction with job performance and through positive interactions with customers
• Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions
• Conform to all safety rules and use of all appropriate safety equipment
• Perform other duties as required

Desired Skills:

• Be able to communication in English both oral and written.
• Team work ability
• Basic safety knowledge.
• Willing to travel inside China frequently and outside of China if necessary.
• Be able to handle pressure and make decision independently when required.

Education:

• BSc of Marine engineering, mechanical, electrical or equivalent.

Experience:

• 3 years work experience in marine industries or other heavy industries, field service or shipyard would be preferred.
• Propulsion, seal & bearing experiences will be a plus.
