Job Summary:
The OT Network and Security Associate will be part of the Operational Technology team and directly support the Operations and Maintenance division. This position will work closely with Engineering and Construction teams in the office and throughout the organization to support the develop, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot Repsol's North America Renewables network.
The position is based in Downtown Houston with a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.
Responsibilities:
- Support the standardization, control and/or carry out the technical evolution of the control and communications systems of the renewable energy ROC (remote operations center) and associated facilities to meet the established functional, cybersecurity and operational criteria, and to improve and optimize them.
- Support the activities for contracting the services, equipment, and software necessary to guarantee the operation and maintenance of the control and communications systems of the ROC and associated facilities, ensuring compliance with established deadlines, costs, and quality criteria.
- Support homogenizing the technical development, implementation, and incorporation of new facilities to the ROC in coordination with Engineering, Construction.
- Support the technical maintenance activities for the operation and exploitation of the control systems of the assigned facilities and of the ROC itself to ensure the proper functioning of the control and communications systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, such as NERC-CIP (North American Electric Reliability Corporation - Critical Infrastructure Protection) for Network and systems configurations.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
- 3+ years of network engineering experience required.
- Proven knowledge of network protocols, architectures, and technologies, such as TCP/IP, VLANs, BGP, MPLS, VPNs, and SD-WAN.
- Demonstrated experience with:
- Enterprise routing, switching, wireless, and monitoring technologies, e.g., Cisco/Meraki/Fortinet.
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining IPsec VPN technologies.
- AWS/Azure/GCP as well as cloud networking technologies.
- Virtualization/VMWare knowledge and integration into OT environments.
- Managing and maintaining ACTIVE directory environments.
- Industry certificates such as: CCNA/CCNP, CISSP, Fortinet FCP and Palo Alto PCCSE are a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices, particularly in the context of critical infrastructure.
- Familiarity with NERC CIP standards.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
- Communication and collaboration skills.
