What’s the role?
Are you the problem-solver who thrives on fixing what others can't?
In this hands-on position, you'll be the go-to expert for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing electronic metering devices. From inspecting and testing equipment to calibrating sensitive components, your attention to detail will help ensure our metering systems meet the highest standards of performance and accuracy.
As a key player in our technical operations, you’ll perform in-depth inspection, diagnosis, and repair of metering products. You will test and calibrate equipment to guarantee regulatory compliance. You will maintain and support energy-efficient solutions and ensure every meter we deliver is up to industry and company standards.

Your responsibilities will be:
Meter Inspections, Diagnostics & Repairs
- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems related to Electronic Metering device faults and PCBA defects to a component level
- Maintaining repair workmanship to appropriate standard (J-STD-001)
- Repairing PCBA’s in accordance with IPC-A-610, IPC-7711, IPC-7722
- Assist in analysis and reporting of returned goods
- Perform visual and technical inspections of meters to identify faults or inconsistencies.
- Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot issues with metering equipment.
- Repair or replace faulty components in electric, gas, or water meters.
- Conduct routine maintenance to prolong the life of metering devices.
Calibration, Testing & Reporting
- Calibrate meters to ensure precise readings according to company and regulatory standards.
- Conduct post-repair testing to validate meter accuracy and functionality.
- Accurately record repairs, calibration results, and maintenance activities.
- Maintain records in accordance with company procedures and compliance regulations.
Compliance & Safety
- Follow company and industry safety standards and procedures.
- Ensure all repairs and testing meet regulatory compliance and quality control requirements.
People Practices
- Contribute and work cohesively within a team environment.
- Maintain a safe working environment.
- Participate in procedures to meet quality and environmental standards.
- Understand and follow company policies and procedures for the general wellbeing of the workplace.
- Undertake training, multi-skilling and participate in job rotation where possible.
- Keep areas of work clean and tidy to ensure operational efficiency.
What we are looking for:
You will bring a minimum 2 years understanding of electronic PCBA/component repair work and circuit diagnostics. You will also have knowledge of and have the ability to follow safety standards.
You will be well organised and attentive in detail and accuracy, as well as have competent computer skills.
