Job description Summary

As an Electrical Engineer at SMEC, you will play a crucial role in the conception, design, and implementation of electrical systems for various projects. You will be responsible for managing project schedules, estimating costs, and securing materials. Your technical expertise will be essential in providing recommendations and ensuring that projects are completed within budget and meet all applicable standards and codes

Key Areas of Responsibilities

• Project Conception and Design: Prepare and assist in preparing the project's conception, design, and specifications. Manage scheduling, estimating, and securing materials.
• Technical Matters: Prepare and assist in preparing technical matters in projects. Provide technical recommendations within the targeted project budget.
• Engineering Studies: Conduct engineering studies and investigations. Provide engineering guidance.
• Technical Meetings: Attend technical meetings with stakeholders. Serve as SMEC's technical representative to contractors and suppliers.
• System Design: Design electrical implementation systems, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and codes.
• Method Statements and Risk Analysis: Develop method statements and conduct risk analysis studies.
• Client Coordination: Coordinate with clients and consultants on technical requirements. Attend technical discussions and meetings with authorities, developers, and contractors.
• Subcontractor Coordination: Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of works.
• Proposal Preparation: Prepare and assist in preparing proposals. Ensure compliance with the company's quality procedures, customer requirements, and relevant/latest standards and regulations.
• Team Collaboration: Work as part of an international team, both face-to-face and remotely.
• Professional Relationships: Establish and maintain professional relationships with staff.
• Task Completion: Complete tasks assigned by the supervisor and assist other engineers with other projects as directed.
• Health and Safety: Observe health and safety regulations at all times.
• Professionalism: Maintain a high degree of professionalism and diligence.
• Additional Tasks: Undertake other tasks in engineering and relevant areas as assigned by the Supervisor and Project Manager.

Key Qualification:

Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from recognized educational institution.
