Position Specific Description


Florida Power & Light Company is seeking a Senior Accountant at the Juno Beach location. In this role, you will report to the Benefits, Investments & Debt Accounting Manager and focus mainly on benefits and investment related activities. This position will also have opportunities for involvement in the team’s process improvement initiatives.

 

Specific duties and responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare monthly journal entries related to corporate wide benefits and investments and decommissioning trust funds
  • Prepare accounting treatment analysis for new investments
  • Prepare account reconciliations for assigned accounts
  • Support monthly, quarterly & annual reporting and filing requirements (Securities & Exchange Commission, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, Florida Public Service Commission)
  • Prepare Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) certifications as assigned
  • Assist in developing junior staff
  • Prepare ad hoc analyses and reports as needed
  • Support various process improvement initiatives as assigned
