The opportunity

To build and grow the Responsible for local product management activities. Bridges the gap from local to global product management. Provides local market needs to global, does costumer presentations on our factory, on new product developments. Leads product qualifications in communication with the global qualification manager, Collects feedback on quality of our products in the market and triggers accordingly improvements. Leads cost-out activities (DtV) together with the global DtV organization and the local SCM. Collects the loading of Dammam factory and feeds this to our feeder factories and suppliers as a budget input. The local product manager takes place in market activities and tendering and acts as a technical expert.

How you’ll make an impact            

• You will be Head of Product Management (HPM) will be part of the global product management team of GIS and HPM manages the team of technical experts in the organization like Technical Manager, Product Specialist, Product Cost Specialist & Local Implementation manager.
• You will receive the latest input of new developments and triggers R&D activities via PCR requests from Saudi point-of-view in case a business case is given and participate / represent Dammam factory in R&D Stecko meeting supporting the GM if not attending.
• HPM checks frequently the CCRP’s on GIS products and triggers activities in our production or in R&D (GPS) if needed and Oversee the Implementation of Product Change Notifications from the Global R&D to local organization through Local Implementation.
• You will be directing the Product Specialist on the product life cycle evolution of HV Switchgear, Supports the local DtV activities with the local DtV leader, consolidate the necessary Type Test Reports (TTR) in a form like the well-know “Hitachi Energy-Certificates, Develop the method of statements for the customers on several technical aspects, and coordinating the Type test programs.
• You will direct the Product Cost Specialist in cost tracking on product level cost evolution and validate the results, Cost analysis on Material, Process & Overheads for different Feeder Factories, running SAP Cost, Maintaining Info Records & Cost in Sales Configurator, Supporting DtV & cost-optimization program.
• HPM is leading the local DtV activities and remain as the speaking partner towards the global DtV and HPM triggers and executes pre-qualifications if needed and works together with the Global Qualification Manager of GIS and HPM takes part in Sales & Operation Planning meeting for factory loading forecast for agreement.
• HPM is able to give technical advice in customer discussions during offering stage and if needed during Routine Test activities in special cases and HPM assists SCM in pre-qualifying new local suppliers if technical advice is needed.
• HPM should conduct presentation for internal and external audience on our GIS products and Provide training to sales team and spread knowledge related to GIS and explore white spot areas related to GIS allocated Market and expand the GIS business with market manager.

Your background          

• A bachelor’s degree or diploma in electrical engineering and MBA preferred.
• Min. 10 Year experience with strong technical GIS background.
• Negotiation Skills and task Management Skills
• Self-driven without supervision
• Knowledge of HV Product Portfolio and Microsoft Office, SAP
• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
