About the Job

Join our growing business in this brand new position where you will advise our SEBL Team and customers on Data Protection & Privacy.

How will I spend my time in this role?

  • Supporting and advising our SEBL Team and customers on SEBL data privacy matters;
  • Maintaining and updating our data policies;
  • Ongoing review of the SEBL's data processing activities and compliance with data privacy requirements;
  • Developing and documenting training materials, policies, procedures and guidance to assist compliance within the business activities at SEBL.
  • Support with the facilitation of implementation of “privacy by design” into systems and processes and provide expert support and guidance;
  • Engage with the business to ensure robust and timely completion of Data Privacy Impact Assessments (DPIA), Legitimate Interest Assessments (LIA), Contract reviews, Data Protection Agreement reviews and Data Privacy risk assessments;
  • Maintain and manage the procedure for reporting of SEBL Personal Data Breaches, escalating to the Head of Data Protection & Privacy as appropriate;
  • Work closely with the Company’s Information Security Officer (ISO) to align IT Security systems, processes, and procedures with data privacy obligations;
  • Work closely with IT, Marketing and HR functions to ensure that best practice is operating in departments that process sensitive personal data.

    What skills/experience do I need to be successful?

    • Ideally experience with data privacy compliance in a B2B environment;
    • Ability to review and interpret legislation to establish the data privacy obligations which are relevant to the our activities;
    • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018.

    What does hybrid working mean to us?

    Hybrid working typically means 2 days in the office location listed on this advert and 3 days working at home each week. Some occasional travel to our other offices may be required.
