About the Job
The International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT) is seeking a creative and detail-oriented individual with a passion for clean transportation and strong skills in content analysis and summarization to join our Beijing office, located in the Central Business District (CBD) of Beijing, China.
To thrive in this role, candidates must demonstrate intellectual curiosity, self-motivation, and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds around the world.
The Communications Intern will support a wide range of communications activities within ICCT’s China program and will report directly to the China Communications and Public Relations Manager.

You Will:
- Collaborate with the Communications team to execute brand-building initiatives.
- Support research and analysis for communications content.
- Assist with the daily updates and maintenance of ICCT’s Chinese website.
- Participate in the planning and execution of communications-related events.
- Aid in the translation of internal and external materials between Chinese and English.
- Support other communications tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
You Have:
- Enrollment as a third-year undergraduate or above, majoring in transportation, environment, journalism, international relations, English, or related fields.
- Availability to work at least 3 days per week for a minimum duration of 6 months.
The position requires the ability to work onsite at the office at least two days per week.
- Strong bilingual translation skills (Chinese-English).
- Excellent Chinese writing skills, with strong comprehension, analytical, and logical thinking abilities; adept at content research and analysis.
- Good information retrieval skills and familiarity with common news and regulatory research tools.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop, and other related software.
- Experience with WeChat operations and website content management systems is preferred.
- A passion for clean transportation, environmental issues, and climate change.
- A high degree of responsibility, strong team collaboration spirit, self-motivation, and execution capability.
Our benefits
The internship contract will have a duration of 6 months, with potential extension to 12 months. You will work in our Beijing office. ICCT will provide a laptop and other office equipment as needed. We are offering a salary of CNY 3,200 a month (96 hours a month).
