Senior Project Manager – Civil Scope

ACCIONA is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to support the delivery of one of Australia's most significant renewable energy infrastructure projects. This role sits within our Project-Wide Delivery team, overseeing major construction packages spanning civil works, enabling infrastructure, and logistics support across a large and logistically challenging site.

Overview

As Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading multidisciplinary delivery teams across non-linear scopes—including access roads, compounds, enabling civils, logistics corridors, and shared-use infrastructure. You will play a pivotal role in coordinating with multiple delivery teams, contractors, and functional leads to ensure packages are delivered on schedule while upholding quality, safety, and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project execution across enabling and project-wide works, ensuring safe and timely delivery within budget.
• Manage coordination with other work packages (including transmission and substation teams) to ensure aligned program delivery.
• Oversee contractors and direct delivery teams, ensuring compliance with scope, specifications, and industry standards.
• Drive reporting, forecasting, and program updates in line with internal governance and client requirements.
• Develop and maintain robust project controls, including cost, schedule, quality, and risk registers.
• Identify, mitigate, and manage risks across dispersed delivery locations and varied site conditions.
• Ensure full compliance with legislative and environmental obligations across all packages.

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or an equivalent discipline.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in large-scale civil or infrastructure projects, preferably within a Tier 1 environment.
• Proven project management capability across complex or multi-package programs.
• Strong stakeholder and subcontractor management experience, with a practical understanding of remote or regional project delivery challenges.
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across disciplines.
• Familiarity with planning tools and project controls frameworks.
• Flexibility to work site-based or on a rostered basis (DIDO or relocation options available).
