Then come join us!  <h2>Job Description</h2>The roleJob title: Credit Controller Job type: PermanentDepartment: Finance Location: Milton Keynes, UK with hybrid working flexibility Reports to: UK+ Finance Director About the roleReporting to the UK+ Finance Director, you will become part of a talented and committed finance team, employing your first class technical and communication skills to drive a high-performance culture: doing the basics brilliantly and adding value to your business partners through developing strong working relationships, great story telling, innovative ways of serving customers and data-led, commercial decision-making. You will take full ownership of the Accounts Receivable functions for Polish, Czech and Slovak customers (up to 200) and support the wider Finance team with ad-hoc tasks.Key accountabilities Accounts Receivable (75%)<ul><li>Set up new credit accounts &amp; maintain customer records in our ERP system, JDE</li><li>Evaluate customers’ credit-worthiness, using analytical skills to recommend realistic credit limits</li><li>Build trusting relationships with each customer and become an expert on their business</li><li>Allocate daily customer receipts</li><li>Work with system TermSync and overview customer-initiated direct debit instructions / receipts</li><li>Release orders from hold (where justified) &amp; work with Sales to keep accounts shippable within 48 hours</li><li>Keep 99%+ of balances current through systematic chasing by phone, email, “TermSync” and formal letter</li><li>Work with poor paying customers to determine repayment plans that work for both Trek and the customer</li><li>Act as Trek’s expert in collection processes &amp; laws in Poland, Czechia and Slovakia</li><li>Pursue payment of debts if necessary, and after internal agreement, through the courts</li><li>Escalate credit issues in a timely manner making informed recommendations to management</li></ul>General Accounts (5-10%)<ul><li>Invoicing all sundry sales – monthly services billings, raise marketing invoices/credits and match off</li><li>Prepare weekly reports for the Sales representatives, e.g. aged debt, open receivables and risk accounts</li><li>Run and distribute monthly reports to management</li><li>Complete credit references for Customers on behalf of other companies</li></ul>Hospitality (15-20%)<ul><li>Provide excellent customer service to all Trek customers – external &amp; internal</li><li>Take ownership of any customer service queries, ensuring that all matters are dealt with efficiently and timely</li><li>Work closely and collaboratively with Sales to ensure the customer receives an unrivalled service</li><li>Attend customer meetings to deliver financial insight on how the customer can grow/improve their business</li><li>Use experience and intuition to make judgement calls that enable us to protect the company and be the best supplier in the world</li></ul>About youEssential•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Polish.
