The selected candidate must manage claim files through conclusion in a diligent and professional manner, be detail oriented in maintaining file records and documents that have the potential to be used in litigation, and proactive in advising management of high-risk claims, incidents and trends relevant to business operations and risk.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Investigates, manages and reports on all aspects of self-insured retained loss claims and potential claims involving automobile liability, general liability, property damage and personal injuries.</li><li>Negotiates and settles claims in accordance with company policy. Works directly with legal staff and outside counsel on larger claims. </li><li>Supports other groups, such as customer service and regulatory, on issues relating to customer relations and/or regulatory complaints.</li><li>Provides analysis and fact-finding to support corporate property and liability claims and incident investigations.</li><li>Enters, maintains and closes records on STARS claims management system.</li><li>Provides support in responding to PUC/PSC complaints associated with claims.</li><li>Assigned “on-call” status, providing 7-day, 24-hour support on a rotating basis, approximately every 4 – 6 weeks, as required.</li></ul><ul><li>Financial Responsibilities include:</li></ul><ul><li>Manages spending on outside claims adjusters.</li><li>Determines fair value for settling claims.</li><li>Supports claims financial reporting on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.</li><li>Ensures efficiency.</li><li>Negotiates financial settlements favorable to the Company and its customers.</li><li>Creates Revenue Enhancements.</li></ul>Required Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in a related field with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
