Accounting owns the end-to-end financial reporting process, ensuring compliant, accurate and timely financial data is available to decision makers. This role will lead the general ledger functions, manage close activities and timelines, and support the evolution of our accounting systems. The accounting needs are growing rapidly, making this a unique opportunity to be involved early in key business decisions and form partnerships with other functional leads.What You'll Do<ul style=""><li>Lead and manage the day to day operations of the accounting department, including general ledger, cash management, accounts payable, travel &amp; expense, and financial reporting.</li><li>Oversee period end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, while accelerating the close timeline.</li><li>Prepare and review journal entries and reconciliations, ensuring high quality supporting documentation.</li><li>Draft technical accounting memorandums in accordance with FASB codification to support unique and complex reporting matters.</li><li>Manage general ledger coding procedures, ensuring proper classification, use of data attributes, and accounting treatment of transactions.</li><li>Conduct thorough analyzes of financial data to identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for improvement.</li><li>Enhance the company’s financial systems, including ERP, Payroll, Payables, and T&amp;E to enable operational efficiencies that scale.</li><li>Establish, document, implement, and improve on compliant accounting policies and procedures.</li><li>Provide leadership and mentoring to the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.</li><li>Support the accounting department in projects and strategic initiatives.</li><li>Maintain a “no job to small” mentality, being able to perform other procedures within the general scope of this role.</li></ul>What You'll Bring<ul style=""><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent field.</li><li>Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.</li><li>Experience in accounting, demonstrating advanced knowledge of accounting principles under US GAAP.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to design and implement accounting systems, including ERP.</li><li>Mix of public and private accounting experience preferred, bonus if in the renewable energy or utility space.</li></ul><h2></h2><h2>Our Values</h2><ul style=""><li>First Principles Thinking: Question assumptions.
