To accelerate this growth, we are seeking a Senior Production Engineer to join our team. This is a remote position with a strong preference for candidates based in or near Saint Petersburg, FL and reports to our Chief Operations Officer. The Senior Production Engineer will take ownership of a diverse range of responsibilities and become a strategic partner to our Operations team. In this role, you will help ensure that our product is manufactured efficiently, consistently, and to specification, while driving continuous improvement across multiple facilities. Serving as the bridge between formulation science, production execution and commercial impact, the Senior Production Engineer will play a pivotal role in scaling our technology, optimizing production performance, and advancing our mission. Among other responsibilities, this position requires the knowledge, skills and ability to understand and execute the following: Production Enablement<ul><li>Lead technical engagement with international third-party production partners during all production campaigns, including extended on-site support</li><li>Translate company IP and product specifications into actionable operating parameters </li><li>Modify and optimize production processes to improve throughput, quality, and operational reliability</li><li>Serve as the primary technical interface between partner producer teams, internal commercial, operations, and R&amp;D leadership</li></ul>End-to-End Product Quality Ownership<ul><li>Own product quality across all facilities ensuring physical, chemical, and functional performance meets targets</li><li>Develop and implement site-specific quality strategies and drive corrective actions </li><li>Collaborate with formulation team to align product design with manufacturing execution</li></ul>Data, Analytics &amp; Process Understanding<ul><li>Interpret process control system data, mass balances, statistical variation, and quality metrics to diagnose and prevent issues</li><li>Build and maintain causal understanding between operating conditions, equipment constraints, and final product outcomes</li><li>Provide real-time technical troubleshooting during production runs</li></ul>Customer-Facing Technical Leadership<ul><li>Represent Phospholutions as a credible technical ambassador to producers, distributors, retailers, and strategic customers</li><li>Communicate production realities, constraints, and capabilities into clear narratives that build trust, confidence, and operational alignment </li></ul>Project Leadership &amp; Relationship Management<ul><li>Lead the technical scope of production partnerships from readiness through continuous improvement cycles</li><li>Support CAPEX planning and process/equipment upgrade initiatives at partner sites</li><li>Drive cross-functional project management to ensure production timeline and specifications are met</li></ul>Independent Product Stewardship<ul><li>Operate as the execution-focused owner of product outcomes, distinct from R&amp;D formulation authority and commercial sales objectives</li><li>Evaluate and challenge internal assumptions using firsthand knowledge of facility operations to guide team(s) to practical manufacturing decisions</li></ul> KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS/ABILITIES The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate core competencies in the following areas: <ul><li>Ability to personally diagnose process, quality and performance issues</li><li>Willingness to lead from the front and enjoy doing the work and owning outcomes on the ground</li><li>Ability to collaborate, build and maintain relationships, building creditability and trust with third-party producers</li><li>Analytic mindset translating process data into clear decisions and actions</li><li>Comfortable challenging assumptions, advocating for execution reality and relying on independent judgment </li><li>Strong project management and analytical</li><li>Proficient in all styles of communication (i.e. verbal, written, presentation, etc.)</li><li>Self-motivation and drive to exceed goals; work effectively with minimal direction</li><li>Critical thinking, strategic problem solving and business insight</li><li>Conducts all business activities honestly and responsibly to build trust with customers, partners, and colleagues</li><li>Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment and assume personal ownership of activities and outcomes</li></ul> EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Process, Materials or Industrial Engineering or closely related applied science from an accredited university or college  </li><li>At least 8 years of technical experience in manufacturing or process-driven environments</li><li>Experience in fertilizer manufacturing, mineral processing, or bulk solids handling</li><li>Experience scaling production and manufacturing for a company</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)</li></ul> MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS <ul><li>Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States. This company does not sponsor applicants for work visas. </li><li>Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to multiple work locations as needed</li><li>Travel will be 50 to 75%, both domestic and international</li><li>Background checks (criminal/education/employment/reference/credit/DMV) will be performed; results must be satisfactory to the company. </li><li>If hired, must adhere to all company policies and procedures and other prescribed best practices/industry standards </li></ul>  OTHER REQUIREMENTS<ul><li>Must be able to lift 40 to 50 pounds as needed</li><li>When travelling to production/supplier facilities, employees may be required to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which may include eye, hearing and respiratory protections, protective smock, or face shield.
