We work as one to achieve our vision of being the world’s most trusted, innovative, liquidity and data solutions specialist.Role Responsibilities:This role is primarily responsible for the timely and accurate month end reporting of the centrally managed costs within the EMEA Region including:Financial Reporting &amp; Month-End Close<ul><li>Full ownership of accruals and prepayments, analysis of monthly cost trends, and completion of Balance Sheet reconciliations of centrally managed costs.</li><li>Support the preparation of the Workday Day-1 cost flash.</li><li>Review and enhance month-end processes, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements in partnership with Finance Systems and IT.</li><li>Assist with intercompany reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of variances with regional counterparts.</li></ul>Cost Management &amp; Analysis<ul><li>Provide analytical support for annual budgets and forecasts for centrally managed costs across all regions.</li><li>Manage IFRS 16 lease accounting for the entire EMEA region, ensuring accurate recognition, measurement, and reporting of lease arrangements</li><li>Oversee Market Data and Telecoms cost reporting, ensuring accurate allocation and insightful variance analysis.</li><li>Support project accounting for the Technology function, partnering with stakeholders to ensure project costs are correctly captured and monitored.</li><li>Prepare and deliver monthly financial commentaries and insights for Finance Management.</li></ul>Procurement &amp; Transactional Oversight<ul><li>Review and approve Purchase Orders, offering guidance on chart-of-accounts coding and ensuring correct treatment of spend, including CAPEX versus OPEX classification.</li></ul>Collaboration, Support &amp; Ad-Hoc Analysis<ul><li>Work collaboratively with team members and the broader EMEA Finance organisation to drive continuous improvement in processes and controls.</li><li>Provide timely support and financial analysis for ad-hoc requests from Finance leadership.</li><li>Participate in cross-training initiatives and provide cover and support across the team as required.</li></ul>Competencies<ul><li>Basic knowledge of Fixed Asset Accounting Standards.</li><li>Basic knowledge of and Prepayment accounting requirements.</li><li>Basic knowledge of IFRS 16 Accounting Standard.</li><li>Basic knowledge VAT</li><li>Personal organizational skills including multi-tasking, prioritization and delivery.</li><li>Excellent written and oral communication skills at all levels of the organization.</li><li>Conscientious, self-motivated, resilient, goal oriented and able to work autonomously with minimal daily supervision.</li><li>Excellent attention to detail, quality and control and understanding the impact the role has on the wider business.</li><li>Hands approach, working and supporting other areas of the team as needed.</li><li>Ability to react to changing requirements and adjust process and approach.</li><li>Skilled in applications such as Oracle, Excel, SmartView/ASO, Hubble and OneStream</li><li>Solid attention to detail and accuracy.</li></ul>Experience / Competencies:<ul><li>This role would suit a results motivated, numerate, part qualified accountant with good attention to detail and able to work independently following logical steps and processes</li><li>The candidate should be a proactive team player with the ability to communicate at all levels.</li><li>The role will require strong Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to analyse large amounts of data with excel formula</li><li>Experience with Oracle would be beneficial</li></ul>Not The Perfect Fit?Concerned that you may not meet the criteria precisely?
