<h2>Overview</h2>World Wildlife Fund (WWF), one of the world’s leading conservation organizations, seeks a Financial Administration Specialist, Country Office Unit (COU). The Financial Administration Specialist ensures accurate financial management and compliance for the Country Office Unit (COU) and supports Country Offices in budgeting, reporting, and financial administration processes. This role oversees financial administration of incoming and outgoing agreements for the Country Office Unit, financial systems integration, donor reporting, audits, and capacity-building initiatives, acting as a key liaison between Country Offices, headquarters teams, and external stakeholders. Location: Candidates must be based in a WWF-US managed country offices. Eligible locations include Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador, Guatemala/Belize/Honduras, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname and Guyana. Salary Range: Pay will be in local currency ONLY.<h2>Responsibilities</h2>Budgeting &amp; Financial Planning<ul> <li>Under the direction of the Finance and Technology Transformation Manager, prepare, administer, and maintain the COU department budget in Adaptive, ensuring accuracy and compliance.</li> <li>Monitor spending and coding accuracy, coordinate quarterly updates and projections, and recommend corrective actions.</li> <li>Coordinate the consolidation of Country Office financial figures for quarterly reviews and monitor CO budget execution.</li></ul> Financial Administration &amp; Reporting<ul> <li>Review and approve incoming awards records, amendments, and financial codes in SmartSimple and Workday.</li> <li>Review and approve all new Grant IDs created in relation to CO portfolios, including IPAs.</li> <li>Manage incoming agreement records tasks for COU, including preparation or review of donor financial reports &amp; coordinating project audits following donor compliance.</li> <li>Act as Financial Lead for COU outgoing agreements, including review of grantee financial reports and monitoring plans.</li> <li>Create vendor invoices and process payments to donors or WWF network offices.</li> <li>Support Country Offices on financial administration for donor contracts, including revenue recognition, accounts receivable, payments, exchange rate adjustments, and contract closures.</li> <li>Review Country Office funding proposals for US-based donors.</li> <li>Participate in regional financial closing processes and resolve outstanding issues. </li> <li>Ensure monthly financial maintenance including accurate allocation of expenses, reclassification of overdrafts, and management fee corrections.</li></ul>System Administration &amp; Data Integrity<ul> <li>Validate financial system integrations and support reclassifications and journal entries in Workday.</li> <li>Update I-LINK database with financial dataset weekly in MS Fabric and work with IT designated team on any integration issues to ensure data is accurate.</li></ul> Capacity Building &amp; Technical Support<ul> <li>Develop training materials and support ongoing learning for I-LINK financial dashboards and other financial management tools. </li> <li>Provide technical assistance and capacity-building to Country Offices on financial reporting and sound financial management.  Coordinate with the Reporting Lead in Program Operations to ensure adequate support for financial reporting needs.</li> <li>Coordinate with the International Accounting Team on any improvement / need identified to support the accounting function in Country Offices, in close coordination with the Finance and Technology Transformation Manager.</li></ul>Other Responsibilities<ul> <li>Manage with HQ (CRM team and revenue team) donations and gifts related to COs’ portfolios.</li> <li>Review and approve expense reports and invoices for the Country Office Unit.</li> <li>Facilitate information sharing across departments.</li> <li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul>  Behavioral Competencies:Analytical Thinking: to understand the cause of the problem or the cases that he/she wants to support, always thinking about all the other areas that need to be involved so we avoid working in silos. Need to ensure data is accurate and on time for decision making  Interpersonal Communication &amp; Collaboration/Initiative, Reliability, and Follow-through is needed to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively within Country Offices, HQ teams, donors, and partners to coordinate financial processes, resolve issues, support compliance, and build strong trust-based working relationships. Clear and consistent communication with the supervisor (being proactive on this matter) Proactive, Adaptive, Problem Solving and Judgement: to response on time to different stakeholders following policies and procedures, looking for advice from other colleagues and learning from past experiences (own experiences or from others), not allow things get complicated just because someone was not available on time, need this position to be a problem solver. Additionally, to adjust to different scenarios, think of a better way to apply policies and procedures depending on each situation and learn from each experience. Intellectual Curiosity: to learn new tools, new processes, other colleagues' work, to understand how to always improve in our jobs.<h2>Qualifications</h2><ul> <li>A bachelor's degree in accounting, business, financial administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience is required.</li> <li>A minimum of 6 years of experience in similar roles and 4 years of substantial and successful project management experience overseeing financial and administrative activities is required.</li> <li>Experience in financial reporting and analysis, corporate finance, or financial consulting is required. </li> <li>Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) are preferred</li> <li>Ability to operate with considerable independence and discretion and also work effectively as a member of a team</li> <li>Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities is required</li> <li>Experience with financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday, NetSuite) and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) are highly preferred.</li> <li>Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills is required</li> <li>Fully bilingual English-Spanish is required.</li> <li>Position will require travel to country offices and the US – up to 20%.</li> <li>Committed to building and strengthening a culture of inclusion within and across teams.</li> <li>Identifies and aligns with WWF’s core values: <ul> <li>COURAGE – We demonstrate courage through our actions, we work for change where it’s needed, and we inspire people and institutions to tackle the greatest threats to nature and the future of the planet, which is our home.</li> <li>INTEGRITY – We live the principles we call on others to meet.
