The specialist will work closely with Logistics, Manufacturing, Finance, and external partners to ensure compliant, efficient movement of goods.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>Foreign-Trade Zone (FTZ) Support</strong></p><ul><li>Support FTZ admissions, transfers, and withdrawals (214s, 7512s, consumption entries)</li><li>Maintain FTZ inventory accuracy and documentation integrity</li><li>Assist with manufacturing-related FTZ processes including:</li><ul><li>WIP tracking</li><li>Consumption entries</li><li>Scrap and destruction documentation</li></ul><li>Ensure proper recordkeeping for CBP compliance and audits</li><li>Support FTZ reporting and reconciliation activities</li></ul><p><strong>Trade Compliance</strong></p><ul><li>Assist with HTS classification and country-of-origin verification</li><li>Support tariff analysis (e.g., Section 301 exposure, duty impact)</li><li>Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs, CBP, and FTZ regulations</li><li>Maintain organized records in SharePoint and internal systems</li><li>Escalate compliance risks, data gaps, or process breakdowns appropriately</li></ul><p><strong>Cross-Functional Collaboration</strong></p><ul><li>Work closely with Logistics, Manufacturing, Finance, and Planning teams</li><li>Support standardization and documentation of trade and FTZ processes</li><li>Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to compliance, automation, and visibility</li></ul><p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>2–5 years experience in import/export operations, customs compliance, or logistics</li><li>Working knowledge of U.S. Customs processes and documentation</li><li>Experience working with customs brokers and freight forwarders</li><li>Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy</li><li>Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments</li><li>Proficiency with Excel and document management tools (SharePoint experience a plus)</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>FTZ experience (admissions, withdrawals, consumption entries)</li><li>Experience supporting manufacturing or WIP environments</li><li>Familiarity with HTS classification and tariff structures</li><li>Exposure to SAP, ERP, or trade compliance systems</li><li>CTPAT or audit-support experience</li><li>Prior experience working with China-origin imports</li></ul><p><strong>Key Skills &amp; Attributes</strong></p><ul><li>Highly organized and process-driven</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication</li><li>Comfortable escalating issues and asking questions</li><li>Compliance-minded but operationally practical</li><li>Curious, adaptable, and improvement-oriented</li></ul><p><strong>Why This Role Matters</strong></p><p>This role directly supports Gotion’s ability to:</p><ul><li>Operate compliantly within a Foreign-Trade Zone</li><li>Minimize tariff exposure and customs risk</li><li>Support a growing U.S. manufacturing footprint</li><li>Build scalable, audit-ready trade processes</li></ul><p> </p><div><div><div><p>Base pay is one part of our total compensation package at Gotion, and is determined within a range.
