This role will work on site out of our Austin, TX headquarters. Because the responsibilities of this role are diverse, the ideal candidate should be able to clearly demonstrate a proven record of data management experience, be able work in a fast-paced work environment and have an eye for process improvement.</div><br><br><h3>Essential Functions and Duties: </h3><ul><li>Reviews and edits employee time keeping through ADP prior to process payroll; follows</li><li>up with employees/managers for missed punches to ensure appropriate allocation of labor</li><li>Processes weekly multi-state payroll including calculating weekly/monthly bonuses</li><li>Process off-cycle payrolls, separation pay, and manual checks as needed applicable to</li><li>state/local payday laws</li><li>Works closely with management and business intelligence to calculate and track bonuses</li><li>using Excel Spreadsheets</li><li>Manages tax and withholding deductions for all federal, state, local or other corporate</li><li>taxes that affect payroll amounts</li><li>Processes wage verification paperwork for current and former employees</li><li>Sets up wage garnishment deductions per court orders in ADP</li><li>Reconcile benefit deductions (medical, dental, vision, 401(k), HAS/FSA)</li><li>Ensure proper processing of prevailing wage or certified payroll</li><li>Produce year-end employee withholding tax reports and forms including W-2 and</li><li>1099’s; communicates any new federal/state/location tax information with employees</li><li>Answers employee questions regarding paychecks, withholding tax issues or wage</li><li>adjustments; help troubleshoot possible issues with pay.</li><li>Assists with other duties as assigned.</li></ul><h3>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</h3><ul><li>Proficient knowledge of human resources, accounting, and payroll law</li><li>Ability to work independently under general direction</li><li>Ability to problem solve and handle non-routine situations by determining the approach</li><li>or action to take and interprets guidelines, procedures, policies, and practices.</li><li>Outstanding knowledge of Excel</li><li>Excellent communication and people skills</li><li>Ability navigate conflict, seeking positive, mutually beneficial outcomes</li><li>Ability to maintain confidential information.</li><li>Desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach</li><li>Process and detail-oriented; great team player</li><li>Good judgment and the ability to ask for help when needed</li><li>Ability to work with diverse and strong personalities to drive results in fast-paced</li><li>environment</li></ul><h3>Education and Experience Required:</h3><ul><li>Must have 3 to 4 years of high-capacity full-cycle payroll experience</li><li>Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations</li><li>Advanced knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and Excel pivot tables</li><li>Prior experience processing multi-state payroll; TX and CO strongly preferred</li><li>Prior HRIS experience; ADP experience strongly preferred</li><li>Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification huge plus but not required</li><div> BS/BA degree in HR, Business or Accounting preferred but not required</div></ul><h3>Physical and Environmental Requirements:</h3><ul><li>Light lifting, under 15 lbs; Light carrying, under 15 lbs; Straight pulling; Simple grasping; Walking; Standing; Sitting; Operating office equipment; Operating motor vehicle; Ability to see; Identify colors; Hearing (with aid); Ability to write; Ability to count; Ability to read; Ability to tell time; Travel by car 10% of time; Inside; Working closely with others; Working alone.</li></ul><br><div><span style="font-size:16px;">We understand you may be a great candidate without fitting all our preferred experience, knowledge, skills, and attributes.
