This role performs mechanical assembly, adhesive bonding, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting using detailed work instructions and engineering documentation. The Technician ensures products meet strict quality, reliability, and performance standards.Primary Job Duties &amp; Responsibilities:<ul><li>Interpret engineering drawings, assembly work instructions, and technical documentation to complete assigned tasks</li><li>Assemble precision electro-mechanical gimbal components and subassemblies using hand tools and torque-controlled equipment</li><li>Apply adhesives, epoxies, and bonding compounds in accordance with approved procedures and curing requirements</li><li>Perform alignment and calibration of gimbal systems using measurement and calibration equipment</li><li>Operate computers and manufacturing software to record build data, test results, and process completion</li><li>Conduct functional testing and verification to ensure assemblies meet performance and quality requirements</li><li>Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues using diagnostic tools and established procedures</li><li>Inspect completed assemblies to verify workmanship, accuracy, and compliance with specifications</li><li>Maintain organized documentation and accurately enter production and quality data into electronic systems</li><li>Follow electro static discharge (ESD), safety, and clean-handling procedures to protect sensitive components</li><li>Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure product reliability and consistency</li><li>Support continuous improvement and perform other related duties as assigned</li></ul>Job Qualifications:<ul><li>High school diploma or Equivalent; Associates Degree preferred</li><li>1 - 2 years of experience in related technical field</li><li>Printed circuit board (PCB) assembly experience preferred</li><li>Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office) required. </li><li>Able and willing to lift up to 50 pounds for short durations</li><li>Meticulous attention to detail</li><li>Demonstrated ability to learn on the job</li></ul>Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.About Teledyne FLIR DefenseJoin Teledyne FLIR Defense, where we're dedicated to supporting critical missions with an exciting range of cutting-edge technologies.
