In this role, you will shape and elevate Smappee’s narrative across media, industry platforms, partners, and policy stakeholders. You will drive our visibility in the ecosystem through thought leadership, strategic communications, and impactful PR initiatives, positioning Smappee as a trusted technology leader in the energy transition. <h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Develop and execute Smappee’s PR strategy to strengthen our brand visibility and reputation within the energy and technology ecosystem. </li><li>Position Smappee as a thought leader by identifying and organizing speaking opportunities, webinars, podcasts, and industry panels. </li><li>Translate complex technology topics into clear and engaging narratives and coordinate communication around key announcements, partnerships, and product launches. </li><li>Strengthen Smappee’s digital authority and visibility by collaborating with Growth Marketing on link-building initiatives and GEO/SEO performance. </li><li>Leverage industry events and trade shows to maximize media exposure and ecosystem engagement. </li><li>Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, industry media, government stakeholders, and strategic partners. </li><li>Develop crisis communication frameworks and support executives in interviews, keynote preparation, and public appearances, ensuring consistent and compelling messaging. </li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>You have 5+ years of experience in PR or communications, , preferably in a B2B or technology-driven environment. </li><li>You have experience building thought leadership  and brand visibility through media relations, events, or ecosystem partnerships. </li><li>You are a strong storyteller who can translate complex technological topics into compelling narratives. </li><li>You have an understanding of SEO, GEO, digital authority, and link-building principles </li><li>You are fluent in Dutch, French, and English. </li><li>You are entrepreneurial, proactive, and comfortable operating with a high level of autonomy. Strategic thinker with hands-on execution mindset </li><li>You can connect with a wide range of stakeholders, from technical experts to business leaders and policymakers. </li><li>You have a strong interest in technology, energy, or the energy transition. </li></ul>BenefitsAt Smappee we believe in a modern and dynamic work environment where you can be yourself and truly inspire people to contribute to a better planet.
