The role is anticipated to begin in mid-late March 2026 and continue for approximately five (5) months. This role will primarily focus on drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and administering a wide variety of customer and vendor contracts to ensure that the company's legal interests are protected. This role also involves advising on privacy and data protection, conducting legal research, and managing similar legal risks. Success in this role will be measured primarily by operational continuity of core legal workflows, stakeholder satisfaction, and effective management of existing priorities. WHAT YOU WILL DO<h3>Transactions and Contracts</h3><ul><li>Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including customer agreements, supplier contracts, manufacturing agreements, distribution agreements, and other commercial contracts.</li><li>Manage day-to-day contract administration of assigned agreements and oversee the contract lifecycle within existing frameworks.</li><li>Ensure contracts align with the company's legal and business requirements and protect its interests while minimizing legal risks.</li><li>Assist with the development of playbooks, templates, and forms to ensure consistency and compliance.</li></ul> <h3>Collaboration and Communication</h3><ul><li>Ensure timely elevation of risks and issues to the General Counsel or other members of the Legal Team.</li><li>Serve as a key and supportive partner to our commercial deal team members, providing proactive and timely communications to key stakeholders. </li><li>Maintain clear documentation of ongoing matters to facilitate a smooth transition upon the return of incumbent employee.</li></ul><h3></h3><h3>Data Privacy &amp; Cybersecurity</h3><ul><li>Assist with the company's privacy program, providing support to respond to privacy rights requests.</li><li>Assist in drafting and maintaining privacy policies.</li></ul><h3>Legal Research</h3><ul><li>Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support business operations and initiatives.</li></ul> <h3>Other Duties</h3><ul><li>Perform other duties as directed by the General Counsel independently and in conjunction with other members of the legal department.</li></ul>WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WITH<ul><li>A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.</li><li>Active membership in good standing with a state bar.</li><li>Minimum of 5 years of relevant legal experience, with a focus on transactions, contracts, and privacy.</li><li>Familiarity with comprehensive contract management platforms such as HighQ is preferred.</li><li>Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.</li><li>Immediate proficiency in contract drafting, review, and administration.</li><li>Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.</li><li>Strong commitment to company mission and values.</li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.</li><li>Willingness to respectfully share and accept feedback willingly from all levels of the organization.</li></ul>PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
