And it’s the reality NavVis empowers people to build better.  <h3>THE OPPORTUNITY</h3>Can you imagine diving into the development of the software and components that run our innovative mobile indoor mapping system, operated by companies in more than 25 countries worldwide? You will join the Mapping and Perception Team, whose mission is to create software solutions for mapping entire buildings and creating realistic 3D representations such as maps, point clouds and panoramic images, based on cutting-edge technology in the area of robotics.  We are a very international team and if you feel at home with software engineering and want to build something that makes indoors digital, this is the right place for you!  <h3>HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT</h3><ul><li>You will create concepts, software architecture &amp; design for our core software stack (Python &amp; C++) </li></ul><ul><li>Apply clean code techniques &amp; design patterns and mentor your teammates through in-depth code reviews </li></ul><ul><li>You will mainly work on our pipeline – from raw sensor data to the generation of point clouds, panoramic images and maps. </li></ul><ul><li>Move our applications into cloud infrastructure by closely collaborating with our cloud team </li></ul><ul><li>Analyzing and improving our applications with respect to efficiency, scalability, and stability </li></ul><ul><li>Full life cycle of application development from design to deployment including infrastructure and continuous integration/delivery </li></ul><ul><li>Continuous improvement of automated tests and automated delivery of software. </li></ul> <h3>WHAT WILL HELP YOU SUCCEED IN THE ROLE</h3><ul><li>A Master's degree or PhD in computer science, information systems, or similar </li></ul><ul><li>At least 5 years' experience as a Software Engineer </li></ul><ul><li>Strong coding skills and proven experience in Python and C++.  </li></ul><ul><li>Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns </li></ul><ul><li>Extensive experience in deploying software across a variety of platforms, operating systems and cloud infrastructure. </li></ul><ul><li>A strong communicator who enjoys collaborating with people and mentoring junior developers </li></ul><ul><li>Passionate about software design and development with a strong interest in agile methodologies </li></ul><ul><li>Willing and able to familiarize yourself with challenging new topics and tasks </li></ul><ul><li>Fluency in English  </li></ul> Would be an added benefit: <ul><li>Experience with C++ Libraries like Boost, Eigen, OpenCV, PCL, ROS or likewise </li></ul><ul><li>A background in maintaining and deploying large software systems </li></ul><ul><li>Experience in maintaining or contributing to open-source software, e.g. on GitHub </li></ul><ul><li>Worked in a development team using agile principles</li></ul> <h3>HOW WE WILL KNOW WE ARE A PERFECT MATCH</h3>Your recruiting partner for this role is Rina (she/her).
