The role combines safety monitoring, customer service, and real-time operational awareness to support the successful operation and supervision of autonomous mobility. You will serve as the onboard ambassador for the service, helping riders feel comfortable with the technology while monitoring vehicle systems and ensuring cohesive and safe daily operations. What You’ll Do Passenger Experience &amp; Public Engagement <ul><li>Create a welcoming and informative environment for passengers using the autonomous shuttle service. </li><li>Engage with riders, answer questions, and explain autonomous vehicle technology in simple, approachable terms. </li><li>Serve as a program ambassador by representing Beep and the client’s program initiatives professionally with the public and community stakeholders. </li></ul>Vehicle &amp; System Monitoring <ul><li>Demonstrate a clear understanding of vehicle systems, proactively monitoring vehicle systems and autonomous driving performance during operations. </li><li>Observe traffic, road conditions, and system status to always ensure safe operations and situational awareness. </li><li>Respond to alerts or unusual system or vehicle behavior and follow procedures to bring the vehicle to a safe state when necessary. (Technical Troubleshooting) </li><li>Provide clear feedback on system performance and operation issues to the engineering teams to support continuous improvement of the service. </li></ul>Operational Support <ul><li>Maintain real-time communications with the Beep Command Center to report system status and coordinate operational responses. </li><li>Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure readiness for service. </li><li>Assist with basic troubleshooting and escalate technical issues as required. </li><li>Support testing activities or software updates by documenting observations and operational feedback. </li></ul>Safety &amp; Vehicle Care <ul><li>Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and operational procedures. </li><li>Maintain vehicle cleanliness and passenger-ready conditions throughout the shift. </li><li>Following the end of every shift, ensure vehicles are properly charged, cleaned and prepared for the next service period. </li></ul>What We’re Looking For Core Qualifications <ul><li>Valid driver’s license with 3-5 years of driving experience and a clean driving record. </li><li>High school diploma or GED. </li><li>Ability to pass background checks, motor vehicle record checks, and drug screening. </li></ul> RequirementsKey Skills <ul><li>Safety Mindset: Strong situational awareness and commitment to safe operations. </li><li>Technical Curiosity: Interest in emerging technologies and ability to learn new systems and software. </li><li>Customer Service Focus: Friendly, professional communicator who enjoys interacting with the public. </li><li>Attention to Detail: Ability to monitor system interface and identify operational issues. </li><li>Adaptability: Comfortable working in a dynamic environment where technology and procedures evolve consistently. </li></ul>Physical Requirements <ul><li>Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. </li><li>Comfortable working outdoors &amp; driving in varying weather conditions. </li><li>Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. </li></ul>Work Flexibility: <ul><li>Physically able to drive a vehicle for an extended period of time </li><li>Ability to adhere to a flexible work schedule during the daytime hours of 12:00pm - 10:00pm EST (schedule subject to change with proper notice given) </li></ul>Why Join Beep Working at Beep means helping shape the future of transportation.
