Delivery DriverStatus:Regular, Full timeLocation:Hamilton, Ontario<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><h1></h1><h1></h1><h1>Job Description</h1></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Delivery Driver is responsible for loading, transporting and delivering by Hino L7 customer orders in a professional and timely manner. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>Sign into and update Geotab digital GPS log daily</li><li>Preform multipoint vehicle inspection daily using digital log</li><li>Verify and pack orders designated for your delivery vehicle</li><li>Load vehicle with forklift, properly secure load and tie down truck curtains</li><li>Read and consider any special delivery notes/instructions</li><li>Work in team with warehouse supervisor and sales determine delivery routes</li><li>Enter delivery details into computer system for trackability</li><li>Call customers to confirm delivery locations and times as required</li><li>Deliver the goods within the required time frame, at the right location, at the right customer</li><li>Unload and place the material as per customers' preferences; pick up returns as required</li><li>Obtain digital POD and capture delivery pictures</li><li>Deal with route and itinerary changes;</li><li>Assist with Warehouse tasks as assigned when delivery schedule is light or completed for the day.</li><li>Keep a well maintained, clean and tidy vehicle</li></ul> REQUIREMENTS:<ul><li>Confidence using computer based delivery management software</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively over text, phone and email</li><li>Hold a valid Class G driving license (Z class endorsement an asset, but not required)</li><li>Minimum of 3-year experience driving dock level vehicles</li><li>Minimum 3-year experience operating forklift (recertification can be provided)</li><li>Comfortable driving large vehicles with tailgate (Hino L7)</li><li>Client oriented &amp; customer service focused; good listener towards customers delivery requirements</li><li>Flexibility in working hours</li><li>Be able to handle loads over 50lbs</li><li>Experience with trailer an asset</li><li>Good knowledge of spoken English is required;</li></ul><h1>What’s in it for you</h1>We are a major player, involved in the energy transformation in Canada.
