Now a wholly owned subsidiary of ERMCO, we operate with the agility of a startup and the backing of an industry leader.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Job Summary:</strong></p><p>The Power Electronics Engineering Intern will be responsible for assisting with tasks such as modeling, simulation, hardware design, embedded control software, prototyping, validation testing and technical documentation for power conversions systems or subsystems under development for the the company’s Smart Grid products.</p><p> </p><p><strong>This role will be onsite in Raleigh, NC.</strong></p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul> <li>Characterization testing of high-power (&gt;100kW) transformers, inductors, or SiC FETs modules.</li> <li>Power electronics system simulations for fault analysis and/or response to usage profiles</li> <li>Investigation and evaluation of gate drive technologies</li> <li>Support evaluation/selection of next gen SiC MOSFET modules</li> <li>Power or gate drive  board design for our next gen SiC MOSFET modules</li> <li>Simulation, prototyping and testing of a high-frequency transformer</li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2><ul> <li>Enrollment in an Electrical Engineering degree program, preferably at the Master’s level.</li> <li>Coursework and/or laboratory work experience in power electronics.</li> <li>Strong analytical skills and willingness to learn in a hands‑on, team‑oriented environment</li> <li>Interest in electrical power systems, or energy infrastructure preferred.</li> <li>Familiar with precautions for working safely in a high-power high-voltage lab.</li></ul><p><strong>Join ERMCO and TRANSFORM your career!</strong></p><h2>Job Locations</h2>US-NC-Raleigh
