This hands-on opportunity provides real-world experience in a manufacturing environment while developing essential skills in industrial engineering, problem-solving, and efficiency optimization.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Standard Work Instructions (SWI): Update and implement changes from engineering modifications.</li><li>Technical Skills: Read and interpret Change Notices, blueprints, and facility layouts.</li><li>Software Proficiency: Learn and use AutoCAD, Creo View, JED, and Microsoft Office.</li><li>Process Improvement: Conduct time studies, process mapping, and continuous improvement initiatives.</li><li>Manufacturing Support: Shadow Industrial &amp; Manufacturing Engineers (IE/ME) and assist with daily production needs.</li><li>Safety &amp; Organization: Maintain workplace organization (6S), follow PPE requirements, and support safety/quality improvements.</li></ul>Desired Qualifications:<ul><li>Self-motivated with a logical, problem-solving mindset.</li><li>Strong math, analytical, and communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work in a team and independently.</li><li>Interest in 2D/3D modeling (AutoCAD, Creo, SolidWorks, etc.).</li><li>Punctual, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.</li><li>Planning to pursue a degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering (or a related field).</li></ul>Other skillsets:<ul><li>Ability to read blueprints/layouts</li><li>Problem-solving &amp; critical thinking</li><li>Attention to detail</li><li>Teamwork &amp; Communication skills</li><li>Time management &amp; organization</li></ul>This position offers a valuable introduction to engineering principles, process optimization, and real-world problem-solving in a dynamic manufacturing environmentOshkosh is committed to working with and offering reasonable accommodations to job applicants with disabilities.
