Our largest Evoqua site in Germany is located in Günzburg, where approximately 250 employees develop and manufacture state-of-the-art systems for chlorine-based water disinfection, online measurement and control technology, as well as ultrapure water systems for laboratory and industrial applications.Xylem is seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Senior Sales Manager EMEA (m/f/d) – Ultrapure Water / EDI &amp; LAB to lead and accelerate growth of our Ultrapure Water (EDI &amp; LAB) product lines within the Treatment Solutions portfolio across the EMEA region.This role combines strategic leadership with a strong execution focus and full accountability for delivering profitable growth across a defined business segment. You will lead a regional team and drive commercial excellence across both direct sales and channel partner networks.Your Responsibilities: <ul><li>Own and deliver an ambitious sales growth plan across the EMEA region, ensuring above-market, profitable growth</li><li>Lead, coach, and develop regional teams</li><li>Drive execution of strategic growth initiatives and commercial projects across EMEA</li><li>Define and execute go-to-market strategies via both direct sales and channel partners</li><li>Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities while expanding existing key accounts</li><li>Build and implement targeted sales strategies for key verticals (e.g., Pharma, Energy, Semiconductor, Industrial Water Treatment)</li><li>Ensure accurate sales forecasting and maintain a strong, sustainable pipeline (including SIOP reporting)</li><li>Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Product Management, R&amp;D, Operations, Technical Support, and Customer Service</li><li>Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory developments to identify growth opportunities</li><li>Represent Xylem at industry events, trade shows, and customer engagements across EMEA and international markets</li><li>Drive effective opportunity and funnel management using CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferred)</li><li>Ensure profitable deal structures while protecting regional and global margin targets</li><li>Prepare and present structured business updates, forecasts, and strategic insights to global leadership</li><li>Foster strong collaboration across business units and regions to leverage synergies</li><li>Conduct regular performance reviews and support talent development within the team</li></ul>Your Profile:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field (preferred)</li><li>12+ years of experience in water treatment sales</li><li>7–10 years of leadership experience in sales or business development roles</li><li>Proven experience in leading regional teams, ideally including Business Development Managers</li><li>Strong expertise in deionized/ultrapure water applications (EDI &amp; LA highly desirable)</li><li>Established network within relevant industries and customer segments</li><li>Experience across key markets such as Pharma, Power, Semiconductor (MicroE), and Industrial Water Treatment</li><li>Proven track record of closing complex, high-value deals</li><li>Strong customer focus with expertise in solution selling and relationship management</li><li>Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills</li><li>High level of accountability, ownership, and results orientation</li><li>Proficiency in CRM systems (ideally Microsoft Dynamics) and Microsoft Office tools</li><li>Fluent in English and at least one additional European language</li><li>Willingness to travel up to 50% across the EMEA region</li></ul>Why Join Xylem <ul><li>Work on projects that support critical water infrastructure and sustainability</li><li>High-impact role with strong organizational visibility</li><li>Collaborative, innovation-driven culture</li><li>Opportunities for professional growth within a global organization</li><li>Autonomy paired with strong leadership support</li><li>competitive total rewards package that supports employee wellbeing, growth, and work-life balance, tailored to local market practice</li></ul>For questions about this position, please contact Ward Barbar, Talent Acquisition Partner, Europe, at +49 172 6976222.Everyone is Welcome Xylem is an equal opportunity employer.
